There is a cut of diamond that is no longer widely cut in the shape of a pine tree and is marketed as the Christmas Tree cut diamond. The most desirable colour for the latter is blue or green and their colour has been achieved through irradiation. There is a small demand for this cut, which is being met in limited quantities in Israel and Belgium.
